If anyone thought this season would settle into a predictable rhythm, Lifetimepool had other plans.
The standings are tightening, the arms race is underway, and with the trade deadline looming (and officially under review), every GM knows the next move could be the one that defines their season. Whether you’re chasing first place, fighting to stay relevant, or quietly plotting chaos behind the scenes, one thing is clear, the league is officially in playoff mode.

| 4 | Blackhawks | 727 |
| 5 | Vikings | 658 |

| 7 | Roma | 593 |
| 8 | Ferrari | 567 |

Leafs: The Standard at the Top
The Leafs are setting the pace with 894 points, and right now they look like the team everyone is chasing. They’ve built separation, but not comfort. Not in this league.
With elite production coming from Leon Draisaitl, Kyle Connor, and Sidney Crosby, the Leafs have the firepower to stay above the fray. But in Lifetimepool, the lead is never permanent, it’s just a target.
North Stars: Silent Killers in 2nd
Sitting in 2nd with 777 points, the North Stars are doing what they always do best, hovering, stalking, waiting.
The engine is running strong behind David Pastrnak, Jack Eichel, and Artemi Panarin, and if the top team slips even slightly, the North Stars have the roster to pounce immediately. Nobody should be shocked if they make this a two horse race by the end.
Hitmen: The Most Dangerous Team in the League
At 3rd with 743 points, the Hitmen might be the most terrifying team in the standings because they don’t need “balance”, they need one explosive run.
When your top end includes Connor McDavid and Nathan MacKinnon, every week has the potential to become a highlight reel. And if the Hitmen decide they’re buying at the deadline, things could get uncomfortable for everyone.
Blackhawks: Championship DNA is Real
The Blackhawks are currently 4th with 727 points, and they’re still firmly in striking distance.
With a roster powered by Nikita Kucherov, Nick Suzuki, and Sam Reinhart, they’ve shown the kind of season long consistency that wins Lifetimepool championships. The league knows this franchise doesn’t panic. They calculate. And when the moment comes, they strike.
Vikings: Right Where They Want to Be
In 5th with 658 points, the Vikings are positioned perfectly, close enough to threaten the top four, far enough to stay under the radar.
With core production coming from Mikko Rantanen and Kirill Kaprizov, the Vikings are absolutely capable of a second half surge. Nobody wants to face a hot Vikings team down the stretch, history has proven that.
Devils & Roma: The “Chaos Bracket” is Alive
The Devils (6th, 627) and Roma (7th, 593) are basically the danger zone teams. They’re not out of it, not even close. But they’re at the point where they’ll need a clear strategy.
Devils
Led by elite contributions from Cale Makar, Lane Hutson, and William Nylander, the Devils have top end talent that can change the standings quickly if things line up.
Roma
Roma continues to show the future is here already, with Macklin Celebrini driving the storyline, supported by Wyatt Johnston and others. If Roma buys at the deadline, they’re the team that could break the standings wide open.
Ferrari & Coyotes: One Move Away
Ferrari (8th, 567) and Coyotes (9th, 566) are separated by essentially nothing. This is where the season becomes psychological.
One smart trade changes everything. One missed week drops you into the basement. One bad decision becomes a Lifetimepool meme for the next ten years.
Islanders, Canucks, Oilers: The Comeback Zone
The Islanders (10th), Canucks (11th), and Oilers (12th) are still in this story. And in this league, we’ve seen crazier comebacks.
But now comes the question every team eventually has to answer:
Are you buying to climb… or selling to build?
Trade Deadline: Under Review (Olympic Year Factor)
The trade deadline is officially under review, and the league is collecting suggestions.
Because this is an Olympic year, the calendar may impact where the “most fair” deadline lands this season. The goal is not only to decide what works for 2025–2026, but ideally to agree on a standard trade deadline format going forward, so the league has consistency year after year.
