g. Player Draft
The following are an update of the rules. There is absolutely NO rule changes in this update. The rules I have incorporated are based on precedence over the last 6 years.
It has been evident that in the last few weeks there has been weakness in the rules. Teams have recently been exploiting this flaw, hopefully now that they are more formalized there will be less room to debate. Review them as a reminder.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
Overview
This is a life long keeper pool, therefore once a player is acquired by a team they are exclusively in the possession of the owner. These players can be sold, traded or retained for the life of the player. A combination of players point scoring will determine an annual winner of the Lifetimepool Championship.
Collective Bargaining Agreement
1. The CBA is the set of rules by which our pool will abide by, and can only be reviewed outside of regular season.
2. Changes and exceptions to the CBA require a minimum 60% approval of all team owners. All decisions taken with minimum 60% approval can only be undone by minimum 60% approval.
3. For issues not covered in the CBA, all General Managers (GMs) must be consulted, and a minimum 60% approval is always required. In the case of a dispute between two GMs on an issue not covered by the CBA, the decision is taken to vote by all GMs.
Entrance Fee
1. LifeTimePool.com annual entrance fee will be 100 LTPs each team for the season and 10 LTPs for Lifetimpool Cup.
Rosters
1. Rosters originate with 30 players and 3 goalies
2. Roster may increase to any size through approved player transactions
3. A roster size may not go below 19 players, including at least one goalie
Scoring
1. The Lifetimepool Championship is determined on a cumulative scoring system which is based on regular season player point totals.
2. The point system per player will be the following:
a. Goal = 1pt
b. Assist = 1pt
c. Win = 2 pts (goalie)
d. OTL = 1 pt (goalie)
3. The combined scoring points for the top 12 forwards, 6 defensemen and 1 goalie will determine a Lifetimepool team’s total point.
4. The Lifetimepool team with the largest cumulative point total will be the annual champion.
Awards
1. Annual prizes to the best competitors will be distributed as 60% to the winner, 30% to second place and 10% to third
2. All prizes are in trust with Lifetimepool.com
Player Drafting
1. General Rules
a. Players available for draft may be:
i. Any age
ii. Participate in any league
iii. Play at position
b. The maximum time allowed to provide a pick is 3 minutes, if a pick is not provided in three minutes your pick will be temporarily forfeited. The team will be required to pick a player (or have one arbitrarily assigned) at the end of the draft.
c. Every team owner or representative must be available on the draft day to make their selections. If the team cannot communicate on the draft day justifiably he will be able to fill his roster with the remaining undrafted players at the end of the draft. Teleconferencing, instant messaging, and web-conferencing are all acceptable alternatives for communication on draft days.
d. Draft days will be determined by the general managers before start of the regular season.
2. Annual Drafting
a. Annually each team will be awarded 5 draft picks per season. Picks may be traded or retained for the draft.
b. Draft position is determined based on the previous year’s regular season positions. The lower in standings the higher the draft positions each round. The last place team of the previous regular season will be granted with the first draft pick of each round.
c. For every draft pick that a team possess they must drop a player from their roster into the public pool of players.
d. If you trade all your draft picks you are not required to expose or drop any players.
e. A goalie may only be drafted if the team previously submitted a goalie as a drop player.
3. Expansion Drafts
a. Expansion drafts will follow expansion rules.
4. Other Drafts (including Dispersal drafts, Goalies drafts)

2. Once trades are agreed upon by the teams, the trade must be communicated to the administrator by all parties. Text messaging, instant messaging, emails, telephone and documentation in writing are all acceptable forms of communication to present your trade.
3. Once a trade is submitted it will be posted to the public as pending deal.
4. If there is an overwhelming response due to an unethical trade, the option to veto the trade through a vote is available to any team. Based on league rules the trade will be voted on if requested by any team, and may be overturned if there is a minimum 60% vote by the general managers. The trade will be considered void.
5. The trade will be posted for three days as pending, before it becomes official. Though transfers of players and points will be immediately.
6. Trading players will include the complete transfer of all points accumulated that season.
7. Trades can be made for draft picks
8. There may not be any "conditional" deals made based on future uncertainties, all offers must be complete upon submission.
9. Future considerations may be included in a deal as only a player to be named later date.
a. Future Considerations must be submitted to the league by a league imposed deadline.
10. No players can be traded "on loan". If a player is traded from the team, they cannot be "traded" back from that same team for minimum one calendar year.
